Kaden's First Ball Game and Other Things

Kaden had his first ball game last week and has a few since then. I just haven't had the time to post about it. In his first game he was a little disappointed because he struck out the two times he was up to bat. I told him that everyone strikes out and that I believed that he would hit the ball in his next game. The next game came and he told me before h
and that he hoped he would hit it. He hit it every time he was up to bat and even got a double!!!! He was so excited, and so were we.
We have a busy week this week!!! We will be at the ballpark 5 days this week for games!!! They all start at 5, right at dinner time. Look like we will be eating on the fly!!!! Cris is even thinking of doing a tail gate party and bringing the grill.
Here is Kaden hitting in his first game.

I went and go the girls hair cut the other day. Kennedy just got a two inch trim so you really can't tell that it got cut. Jocelyn on the other hand, I had them chop it off!!! It was getting really stringy and didn't lay right. I told the lady to give her a bob about shoulder length. Well her hair is really curly in the back so shoulder length looks to be chin length. (which it totally fine) I love it on her!!!! It is so easy to do, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner!!!! And she loves it. Mom, doesn't she look even more like me when I was her age.
Look at those curls!!!

At the Ol' Ball Game

Yesterday was the opening ceremonies for Little League here in Winslow. It made for a long day. We had to be at the old high school at 8:45 for team and individual pictures. Then they threw out the first pitch and introduced the teams at 12. Then Kennedy had her first game at 4, Kaden's in on Monday. After the team pictures I took some of the kids on my own.  This is Kennedy's second year in fast pitch and Kaden's first. I love to go and watch their games and cheer them on.
This is at the little league park, looking at the ball field, dreaming of the "big leagues"
At home in the back yard. I told Cris we can't paint this old shed. It's the perfect backdrop.

Kaden in on the A's this year, and has a few friends on his team. He is really excited to play baseball, and not t-ball.
Kennedy is on the Hurricanes.
Kennedy's first game. She hit the ball and got on base every time. She also played the pitcher. Here she is hitting the ball and taking off for first base.
Stay tuned for Kaden's game pictures on Monday!!

Easter

Our Easter festivities started out with the city egg hunt. It was a really cold day. The kids had to wear their coats. I was really surprised to see so many kids with shorts without any coat or jacket of any kind. Here are some pictures I took of the little kids. I went with Cole and Jocelyn and Cris went with Kennedy and Kaden. I had the camera with me so there aren't any pictures of Kennedy and Kaden hunting.
Cole patiently waiting to get eggs.

Cole and Jocelyn filling their baskets.
I took this photo for my photography blog group. I love the different angle I took it at. I probably looked like a crazy mom laying on the ground trying to get just the right one. I also did a color mute in photoshop.
After the egg hunt we went home and dyed eggs. Every year I think, "We need to dye eggs, what's Easter without it." Then after dyeing them i think, "What was I thinking." The kids have lots of fun doing it, and I of course love to clean it up.
Here are the kids before church on Sunday with their new clothes. I loved getting a new dress every year, and have passed the tradition along to my kids, although the boys get a new shirt and tie.
I just had to throw this picture in here. Jocelyn is making a face as usual. I think the above photo is the only one with her looking and smiling. She's such a ham!!!
BEWARE OF SOME BLURRY PHOTOS BELOW!!!
Kaden looks like he is playing leap frog in this picture. With all the movement I got no good pictures of the egg hunt that we did with, Crystal and Lance, and Josh and Susie's families.
Kennedy and Sari. They are the best of buds when together and inseparable.
Don't worry no children where hurt while being jumped and thrown wildly on the trampoline by Cris. Stashia looks like she's flying of the tramp.

That ends our Easter fun, I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. And were able to reflect on Jesus Christ and his resurrection.

My Girls Together and Kennedy

Don't ask me how this got underlined. And just like the last time I can't figure out how it got this way of how to change it.
As I promised I would bore any of you who look at my blog with some pictures of the kids. Well, today is Kennedy's turn and the girls together. Here are my beautiful girls. Boy they grow way to fast!!!

Stay tuned for Kaden and Coles pics. I have to redo them. Kadens glasses glared to much and Cole wasn't cooperating. (how in the world did the font stuff change? Don't ask me how, it did it itself!!!)

The Many Faces of Jocelyn Moss

I took some pictures of the kids today to put in frames in their rooms. Jocelyn is by far the funniest child to take pictures of. She is always giving me the funnies faces. I just thought I'd post some of them. I also had fun playing around with them in Photoshop. And since there isn't much going on around here lately, I will bore you with some more pictures later of the boys and Kennedy. For now here is Jocelyn's many faces. :)

This one is my favorite so far!!! I just love the vintage action.

Life

Life in the Moss household has been, well, a bit uneventful. I guess you could say that we are a bit boring. Right now the kids have been sick, flu, strep, you name it we had it this past week.  Winslow has been windy, and when I say windy, I mean WINDY!!! 60 to 90 MPH wind gusts. I feel like all I have been doing is dusting and sweeping. Along with inhaling way to much dust!!! It's such a nice day today that the kids and Cris are out for a bike ride, and enjoying the sun, and no wind, for it is suppose to be back tomorrow.
Here are a few pictures I have taken lately.
My parents came for a weekend visit. It just happened to be my mom's birthday while here. She turned 29. ;)
When the wind wasn't blowing Cris washed the car with the help of Jocelyn and Cole.

I'm in a blog photography group. Every Wednesday and Saturday we are given one word. We then take a picture of what it means to us. We all vote for the best overall picture and the best take on the challenge. I took this picture for the word abstract and I won best take on challenge.

Kaden and Kennedy started baseball and softball this past week. It' so nice that they can get out and participate in sports. Kennedy came home from her first practice and still wanted to practice in the back yard with Cris. They played for another hour or so. They really enjoy the outdoors.
Kennedy just took her first piano lesson. She is so excited and keeps practicing. I'm not sure how much middle C I can handle. Hopefully she will stick to it and keep practicing. (I'll post a picture of her later.)
I'm loving taking pictures for my photography class. I'm also enjoying photoshop and all the actions I've found for it. I need some new subjects though. If anyone wants to be my guinea pig please let me know. Family, kids, anything you want, I'll do it for ya.
