Wow! Having Halloween on a Sunday really makes for a weekend of dressing up, and fun!!! We started off by carving pumpkins. No fancy faces this year. We made our own. The kids all drew what they wanted on their pumpkins, and then went to town carving. (A really easy way to light your pumpkins is to use Christmas lights. I carved a small hole in the back of pumpkin, and then stuffed about 10 lights each into them. It worked really well!!)
Here are the kids with their creations.....
The next part of our weekend was a fun and totally rad Halloween party Cris and I went to. We had so much fun!! Cris and I went as 80's rockers.
Doesn't Cris look rockin' in that mullet, and in the side ponytail.....
The kids got to do two nights of trick-or-treating. Saturday night was our stakes trunk-or-treat. Then Sunday we went to another trunk-or-treat in the Safeway parking lot, and then Cris took the kids around the neighborhood while I handed out candy. I love seeing all the fun costumes kids wear. What I think is even funnier is the young couple that came to my door with a 9 or 10 month old in a stroller trick-or-treating. I mean really is that baby going to eat that candy?? I think not. Maybe I should have tricked them instead of treating them......
Here are our cute little goblins.....
Kennedy as a Candy Corn Witch
Kaden as Luigi
Jocelyn as Raggity Ann
Cole as Buzz Lightyear
Benson as a Monkey
The whole gang
I have to say that my kids were the cutest trick-or-treaters around!!!!!
