Halloween 2011

We had a great Halloween. I made all the kids costumes this year. I had a lot of fun doing them, probably since they were really simple to do.
Our girls went as Alice and the Red Queen

Kaden went as a nerd. Which didn't require much of a costume since he already is one.

Cole was a scary robber. Simplest costume ever!!! I just painted stripes on a white shirt, put on a black beanie, and made a quick mask out of felt.
Benson was a little mummy. We just wrapped him up in cheese cloth.

My cute kiddos all ready to trick or treat!

Jocelyn Turns 7

Jocelyn turned 7 last September. She's grown so much, and such a joy in our home. She is always will to help out in any way that she can. We sure love our baby girl.
She got a bike for her birthday.
And then had a fun party with her friends. They played red rover, duck, duck, goose, and then took over my kitchen and made a huge mess decorating cupcakes.

Kennedy started 6th grade and loves it!! Her teacher is Ms. Leonard. She's such a fun teacher, and Kennedy has really grown in her class this past year.
Kaden
Kaden is in 5th grade this year. He's met his match with his teacher this year, Mr. Leonard. He's really challenge Kaden this past year. He's reading books that Jr. High age kids read. He does a lot of fun activities after school that Kaden enjoys going to.
Jocelyn
Little miss Jocelyn started 1st grade. She loves it, and her teacher, Mrs. Tsosie. She is really excelling this year.
Cole boy started Kindergarten and LOVES it!!! His favorite thing is getting the "pizza awards" aka Book it awards from Pizza Hut. He makes sure he gets his books read every night. His teacher is Mrs. Corumn

Lake Powell

Lake Powell was tons of fun this past year! As a reminder to next year though I must say Kaden needs sun screen every hour!! That kid fried!!!!!
The kids had tons of fun playing in the water, and were really sad to leave. We really missed having Cris with us. He had to stay behind to work. We can't wait till next time!!
The kids on the boat
A group of us on the beach.
From left to right: Jenny with her husband Kevin in the back, Uschi, and her friend(can't remember her name) Vanessa, Corina, Mom, and Maria
I love the look on Andrews face. I would be terrified also if Kennedy and Kaden were in a boat with me. :)

The kids loved the slide
Like I said Kaden and the sun were best friends.
Jocelyn and my Mom
Jocelyn loved hanging out with Corina!
Cole loved the beach, and would play in the sand and water all day!!
Benny's face says it all in these pics. He was happiest in the water!!

We Can't Forget Oma

We can't have a trip to Idaho with out a visit to Oma's house. This time when we visited my cousins son Trever was at her house. The kids were excited to meet a new cousin.(the drawbacks of living far away. They have a few others they have never met)
We love to visit Oma. Not only does she cook us a yummy meal. (she takes requests. ;)) But she gives the kids all the cookies a kid could ask for, even when mom says no more. We love Oma and wish we lived closer so our visits are just more that one meal.

Temple Square

On our way home from Idaho we took a quick little pit stop off at Temple Square. The kids were so excited to go. The last time we had gone was when Cole was about 3.
We took a picnic lunch and ate on the temple grounds. We are looking forward to visiting again this year when Jocelyn has a dance competition in SLC.
