Cole in 2009

Cole has been our little spit fire this past year!!! He is such a daddy's boy, and constantly follows Cris around, and loves to help him do whatever he's doing. He also tells us the funniest things. He's defiantly the baby of the family, and I'm sure will have a hard time when the new baby comes. His favorite movie is "Jack the Pumpkin King" aka The Nightmare Before Christmas. He really gets into it, and can sing along with the songs word for word. He also loves to go for walks, play at the park, and tag around the older kids.
He loves washing the cars with daddy.
He learned to pee on rocks, trees, and anywhere else outside this year. I've found him outside many of times with his pants down, including on the front porch.
Chewie is his best friend, and they run circles around the house chasing each other.
He loves to play in sand, and mud!!! Lake Powell was perfect for him!!!
I bet in 2010 will be even more fun with Cole fun personality!!!

Jocelyn in 2009

Jocelyn was such a joy this year!! I think that something magical happens when a child turns 5. She is full of spunk and way too much energy!! She was really sad when she couldn't go to school this year because she missed the deadline by a week. But I'm really happy that she did! It's been so nice having her home and teaching her some preschool basics. Her and Cole love to play, and have a lot of fun together.(They also fight too) Hopefully she will grow this year. She's 5 and wears 3T pants, and 4T shirts. She doesn't let her size fool anyone though!!!!
She learned to ski this year, and did better than Kennedy and Kaden!!! Her instructor said that she was a natural, and she loved going up the chairlift to the big hill.
Jocelyn loved the jet skis at Lake Powell, and begged anyone for a ride. And any of her older german cousins would take her in a heart beat.
She loved fishing at Big Lake, but only for a few minutes.
We went to the Lowell Observatory, and she loved looking through the telescope. (This is the telescope that discovered Pluto)
It was her first year doing a cheer clinic and she loved it!!!
Jocelyn hopes to have more fun with her friends in 2010!!!

Kaden in 2009

Kaden sure has grown this year. He passed up Kennedy in height and weight!! He is a total boy, and is always building something or doing something somewhat destructive. He started the 3rd grade and gets strait A's!!! He earned $35 when he got his report card, and loved being able to spend it. Kaden started scouts this year, and had earned his Bobcat badge, and is really close to earning his Wolf badge. He really loves all the activities they have done so far. He is also a really great help around the house, and does everything he is asked. He's really great at taking out the trash for me when Cris is at work. :) Here is some fun things Kaden did in 2009.
He learned to ski while visiting Grandma's and Grandpa's in Idaho.
He chose to be baptized!!!!
Went fishing a lot, and caught the first fish of the day every day we went.
Learned to knee board at Lake Powell.
He played his first year of fast pitch baseball, and had a great time!!!!
Kaden is always so much fun to be around, and is always easy to tease, and takes it, and dishes it like a pro!! I hope he has a fun filled year to come!!!

Kennedy in 2009

Kennedy is a fun filled girl!!!! She has been such a joy this past year, and has grown up a lot. She turned 9!!!! We are starting to trust her younger brothers and sister in her care for a few minutes every once and a while while I run to the store or to the bank. We really can't wait until she is actually babysitting age, and neither can she. She can't wait until the new baby comes, and even says she will change some diapers for us. She started the 4th grade, and had a big change of going to a different school. She is doing really good in school this year, and has many friends. She's a social butterfly!!! We had a fun year this year as a family and have a many firsts for all of us!
Here are a few of Kennedy's.
The first time on skis!!! She had a blast and keeps asking to go again.
She tried ice fishing for the first time, and nearly froze.
She played fast pitch softball for the second year, and has become a really good player!!! And she really enjoyed it.
Learned to knee board while at Lake Powell.
And she was the cutest witch on Halloween.
She is always making us laugh with her sense of humor she gets from her dad. We are hoping for many more laughs in 2010.

Santa Train

One of the perks of living in a small railroad town is that the BNSF does some fun things for the community. Last weekend we were able to see Santa ride into town on a BNSF train. It was sponsored by the BNSF and our city recreational department. We went about 45 minutes early so we could get a good spot in line and see Santa, and Mrs. Clause get off the train. It was a pretty chili night, but luckily they had hot cocoa to help warm us up. And me being pregnant, my coat wouldn't button up, so I was really cold!! I didn't get many pictures of the kids. :( They also handed out a light up bounce ball when you saw Santa. The kids had a great time, and so did Cris and I. I love being able to make these fun memories as a family.
Cole and Kennedy trying to stay warm.
The train when it pulled in. It was all decked out in lights, and all the kids went crazy when they saw it.
Mr. and Mrs. Clause. (They were a couple from our ward!)
The kids visiting and getting a picture with Santa and Mrs. Clause. Cole on the other hand would have nothing to do with Santa and Mrs. Clause. He wouldn't even look at them. We got a good laugh at him. :)
Only 6 more days til' Christmas!!!! Are you ready?????

Winkle's Here!!!

Winkle once again appeared on the first of December. The kids were so excited to see him again. He brought them their Christmas jammies, and every once and a while he brings them other small toys or goodies. So far this year he has hidden in the kids rooms, on the curtain rod, in the computer room, on top of Cris guitars, under the Christmas tree, and many other places. Who knows where he will hide next. The kids better stay good or he will go back to the North Pole, and tell Santa they have been bad.

Polar Express 09'

We were able to go to the Polar Express this year. And it was just as fun and magical as last year. My mom, and dad came the same weekend and brought me my part of the cow we had bought together. They came with us, and so did Crystal and Lance. It was fun to have them here for just the few days they were able to stay.
Here we are waiting to get on the train.
The kids wrote their letters to Santa.
Visited with Mrs. Clause. Cole wasn't to excited about it. Especially after we made him sit on Santa's lap. I still need to scan the picture of the kids sitting on his lap. Unfortunately no cameras were aloud.
Jocelyn visited for quite some time with Mrs. Clause and gave her a picture she colored. It was so much fun watching her, and how excited her and Cole were.
We just happened to see a elf emptying Santa's mailbox, when the kids dropped theirs off. Jocelyn loved talking to him too.
Kennedy and Kaden with Grandma, and Grandpa, waiting for the train to leave the station.
Cris and I with Jocelyn, and Cole.
We had cookies,
And hot chocolate.
Ahhhh, it was yummy!!!!!
Then read the book, Polar Express.
The kids looking out the window at the North Pole, and looking for Santa, the elves, and the sleigh.
Then we waited for Santa to visit us on the train.
Santa came and gave each of the kids the "first gift of Christmas", a bell.
And he talked to the kids for a very brief moment.
We then rode the train back,
And along the way sang Christmas carols(man, our chef was very tone deaf. We had a good laugh listening to him sing.)
The kids played and admired their bells.
By the end of the trip, they were tired!!! Jocelyn fell asleep on the train, and the rest of the kids weren't far behind when we got in the car.
We had a lot of fun, and I hope to go again next year.

Halloween 2009

I'm finally getting around to writing about all of our Halloween festivities. We started off with carving our pumpkins for Family Home Evening.
I love how the pumpkin covers my pregnant belly. This will be about the only pregnant picture you will see of me on the blog. Unless I'm otherwise talked into it. I do not like pregnant pictures if me.
The finished products.
Since Jocelyn is no longer going to a preschool, my friend and I are doing a joy school. It's just Jocelyn, Jessie, and Kassidy. They are learning so much, and have a lot of fun together. We had a little Halloween party for them, and they had a blast.
Then of corse we did the usual Trick-or-treating. I personally think our kids looked the cutest, but I am a bit bias.
The Candy Corn Witch
I just had to put these pictures of Kennedy on here. She is always doing some kind of goofy pose or has a funny face. I had to make her spit out her gum because she was chomping away. Man, she sure is growing up.
Wolverine.
I told Kaden to smile for me and he said, "Mom, wolverine is suppose to look tough, not happy."

Raggidy Ann. She is such a doll.
Buzz Lightyear.
In Cole's words, "to infaty and eyond!!!" and "I come in peace"
We had a really good Halloween this year, and the kids are still eating too much candy. Wish us luck, because they see the dentist tomorrow!

In other news, check out the poll on the side of the blog. Give your vote for boy or girl.
