The Past Weeks Happenings

We haven't been to terribly busy, I just haven't had much to write about on the blog. So here is what we've been up to.

* I had my surgery on Feb. 6th. All went well, and I now have a innie! WOOHOO!!!
* Cris' mom and dad were here for a week, and helped out emensly while I recovered. I wish I had a live in maid, Cris' mom spoiled me way too much! She did my laundry, cooked, cleaned, took the kids to and from school and entertained them. She's such a wonderful lady!!
* We took Cris' mom and dad, and treated them to Outback. YUMMY!!!!
* We didn't do much for Valintines day. I had my followup appointment, and the kids got out of school early. So I went to Flagstaff, and Cris stayed home. While there I found the cutest Easter dresses, and suits for the kids. (Stay tunned for pics) I also went with my good friend Stephanie. It was alot of fun. Cris did send me a dozen roses, got me a card, cooked dinner (luckly Wal-Mart has take and bake pizza;) it was nice to relax.) and made chocolate chip cookies!!
* The kids a a great weekend with friends. They stayed the night with then on Valentines night (which was a thursday) and didn't come home for two days. I missed them, and couldn't wait for them to come home. Lucky for us their friends parents are really good friends of ours too, so I trusted them!!
* It snowed again this time much more we got 6 inches. Unfortunatly in all melted within a day. And Cris was at work, and I still couldn't lift more than 30 pounds, so we couldn't build a snowman, but the kids still had a blast.
* I registered for the P.F. Changs Marathon in San Deigo. Which is June 1st. I have got to get my butt in gear and start training hard. 26.2 miles here we come.
* I have found more races I want to run, and Cris thinks I'm a little insane.
* We have had many nights rocking out to Rockband. Kaden is getting really good with the drums. I have a cute video of Cole and Jocelyn playing the drums, but I can't firgure out how to email it from my new phone. So when I figure it out, I will post it.

That's about it, for my update. Hopefully I will have something post worthy to post soon.
P.S. My spellcheck is still not working anyone else having that problem?

Kennedy's Paper

So Kennedy came home with her normal packet of graded papers that she did the week before.
As I was looking through them I found this one. Incase you can't read it the question she got wrong was number three asking, What was your change? Show how you found out. Her answer, " I found out because I am smart" How funny is that. What a silly girl. I have had a really good laugh about it, and decided she takes after my older brother Steven. Who couldn't "be have" because he didn't know who "have" was, and he couldn't bring home his homework because his backpack was too heavy. So I would like to dedicate this paper to Steven. I hope you like it! And think it was as funny as I thought it was.

Rockband

We went to Flagstaff on a date Saturday night. While I was buying my new toy ( a new blackberry pearl cell phone) Cris went with our friend Tim to Gamestop. I was just getting my phone, and the guy was showing me how to use it, when Cris walks in with this big box, and Tim with a bag. I've learned my lesson, dont' let Cris and Tim go to Gamestop alone. He bought Rockband and Tim bought Dance Dance Revloution for his wife (or so he says, we all know he secretly plays it when everyone has gone to bed, or when no one is looking.) We had been discussing on whether or not to buy it. So we now have it. It is so much fun!!! We've been playing it whenever we can.
This picture was taken on Superbowl Sunday. The girls were watching the game and some of the men disapeard, into the other room. I couldn't help but take a picture. Cris is the drummer, Tim is on the left playing the guitar, and Steve in playing the Bass on the right. (the light was right above him, so he looks angelic, while rocking out to Metalica.)

It's Done!!

Almost! We finished the living room. But the trim still needs to be put up, along with the new harth Cris, and Tim need to build. But I now have my room back, and It is now liveable!! We also need to buy a stove still. I've been looking around, but they all seem to be out of our price range. So we might have to wait untill we get our taxes back, to buy one. I went to several stores, and I asked one guy what the price was on his cheapest stove. He then proceeded to tell me that they dont' sell cheep ones. And told me that I shouldn't buy one just for looks, I should be buying one to heat my home. He lost a sell with me, and will never recomend his shop to anyone. We allready have heat in our house, I just want to fill in the ugly old hole! Yes we will use it, but not that much! Here are th pictures of my new living room, minus the pictures that I need to hang.

I'm still tying to get used to the colors. I wanted to do something fun, but I think they might be to dark. But I like it.
On a side note I'm sure I miss spelled alot of words. The spellcheck isn't working.

We Have A Snowman!!!

We woke up yesterday to a couple of inches of snow, and it was still snowing. The kids were really excited. It was the first time in a couple of years that we've had that much snow. Unfortunatly the kids had school, so they couldn't play in it. Snow must be evil here or something, they didn't even go outside for recess. I remember building snowmans, and snow forts at school when I was younger. Heck, they can't even go outside if it gets lower than a certain degree!! Does anyone remember those days when you would breath in, and your nostrills would freeze together, or your hair would frezze if it was wet in the morning? So my poor kids had to wait all day to be able to play outside. Kennedy said all she could think about at school was all the snow.
Well me and Jocelyn had a good time while they were at school. She wanted to build a snowman. So we bundled up and built one. Here he is in all his glory.
They all wanted their picture taken, but Cole wouldn't stay in it, so Cris had to hold him.

A trip down memory lane. Cris and I built this snowman with Kennedy back in 2002. Our neighbor called the newspaper, and they came and took a picture of us with it. Low and behold a few days later we were gracing the front page!! They must have been hard up for a story!

I love this picture! Kaden torturing his sister as usual.

Having fun in the snow.
