Oh, Man

So after 23 months and 3 weeks Kaden's first pair of glasses finally bit the dust. How might this happen one might ask? It's called to much rough housing, and trying to show off that is glasses were flexible. (apparently they weren't that flexible. :)) Thank goodness we already have a appointment with the eye doctor on Friday and he can finally get new ones!!!! So in the meantime, should I tape them, make him wear them as spectacles or just make him go without?

I think he will just go without.

UPDATE:

Good news!!! Kaden's glasses were still under warranty!!!(they only had a few weeks left.) So for the low fee of $25 for shipping and handling he will have glasses soon!!! They put a rush on them. What makes me even happier about this is that it's his two year check up on Friday and we were going to get him new frames, but now we don't. :) Anyone want to do the happy dance with me?????

Overheard At Our House

Wow!! Two posts in one day. So I stole this idea of my cousins and cousins wife's blog. I thought that it was really cute!!
Setting: Jocelyn dancing in the computer room
While dancing Jocelyn is singing that song "When I Grow Up"(I think that's the name, and I think it's by the Pussy Cat Dolls. Any how this is what she was singing.
"When I grow up I want to be Snow White, I want to be Ariel, I want to be Cinderella, I want to go to Kindergarten, When I grow up."
What a goof!! She takes after her dad. LOL!! She loves to listen to the radio.

What We've Been Up To

Here are some more of the kids homecoming week pictures. The only day's I didn't get pictures of were, sports day, and school pride day(they just had to wear blue this day)
Here they are on wacky Wednesday. They had to dress like teachers and the teachers dressed like the kids. Kaden is without glasses because his lens keeps popping out of the frames. Only one more week till we get new glasses!!!
This was the back of Kennedy's hair. I made a fun bun, and she loved it!!
This was crazy hair/hat day. Again I ratted Kennedy's hair, but this time I put more product in it. Boy was it hard to comb out that night. And look at my handsome guy with his hat on. Looking cool buddy!!!
This was the back of Kennedy's crazy hair.
Soccer, soccer, soccer. We've been watching soccer. If you enlarge this picture it's Kennedy going for the goal!!! Unfortunately she didn't make it.

Kennedy and Kaden participated in the Elks Lodge soccer shoot out a few weekends ago. They both did pretty good!!

Cris' mom and dad decided to brave our lice infested house(just kidding thank goodness that is over with!!!) and visit us and Crystal's family for a week. It's been fun to have them. They also came bearing gifts!! They brought us 3, 2 gallon sized honey containers. Yummy!!! And much to Cris' surprise his dad brought him a his camp trailer. Cris is so excited and can't wait to put a hitch on our new car, and go camping. Yes, I said new car. It wasn't a need but more of a want. We traded in the van, and the red car(which just sat in our driveway and hardly ever was driven) We have about the same payment, but we only have to insure 2 vehicles instead of 3!! Yippee. That will save us a few bucks. I'll have to take a picture of it later, but it's a 05 Chevy Tahoe. So not new, but new to us. I'm loving it, and the more room than our van.
That's about all that is going on here right now. Hope all is well with everyone!!!

Homecoming Week

It's homecoming week here and the kids are having so much fun with it!!! Yesterday was rock star day. So Kennedy wore a skirt and her skull and bone earrings, I ratted her hair like there was no tomorrow, she also got to wear makeup(she was so excited about this) that was bright purple. So, I guess she was a 80's rock star. She told me that this is what she wanted to be for Halloween.(yea! I won't have to buy a costume) Kaden sported a fohawk, a graphic tee and holy jeans.

Today was sport day. They have many more fun days to come!!!!

This Is Me

I couldn't help posting this picture. This is how I felt yesterday and today. We got rid of the lice yesterday. But when your pariniod like me, your children get checked in a similar fashion like this, many times a day. Jocelyn tells me "Mom, your checking for bugs again." Yup, I am, and will for the next week. Everyone gets checked!!! These things give the the heebeegeebees, and make my head fell like it's crawling with the little suckers. I guess I'll look at the bright side, at least I don't eat them. :)

Our Day and The Black Eye

Our day started out as any other day in the Moss household.
Breakfast, make lunched get dressed, and then time to do the girls hair. While doing Kennedy's hair I found.......

These nasty little buggers!!!!! Which caused alot of tears!!! And also caused a call to the school, to report our nasty problem. In which I got the answer " Thanks for calling we really appreciate it, most parents don't and send the kids to school anyway." No wonder why we have this problem.

Cris went to the store and bought this stuff.....

We all shampooed, combed, and rinsed. ALL OF US!!! I was a bit paranoid, I treated everyone, even if there was no lice. So my paranoia turned my laundry room into this........
It even got worse than this. I think the pile doubled in size since I took this picture. I then stared doing this to everything I could.......

So now my house is spotless, I've done about 10 or more loads of laundry, and I've vacuumed till i can't vacuum no more, and the wash is still going.
I pray that this will not have a recurrence, although everything I've read said it most likely will. Wish me luck!!!!!!
Now on to that black eye. Jocelyn was running around the house yesterday, and fell and hit the corner by a door, right by her eye. It started to puff up immediately, we called good ol' Dr. Tom, and he said no need to take her to the E.R, just ice it, and the swelling should go down. She woke up with this nice little shiner, and swollen eye this morning. Poor girl, just in time for her school pictures on Friday. Look like we will be doing retakes. :)
She's still the cutest girl in the world!!!!

Mad Hatter's Party

Jocelyn's preschool does a Mad Hatter's Party every year for Grandparents Day. Ever since Kennedy could talk she dubbed Terri as her Grandma, so all our kids caller her Grandma Terri, and her husband is Grandpa Blake. Jocelyn was so excited to ask Grandma Terri to go to her party with her. I'll tell ya what, 10:30 couldn't come fast enough, Jocelyn asked every five minutes if it was time to leave yet. They had to pack a lunch for them, and their Grandparent. I sure hope that Terri liked her PB&J, grapes, carrots, and caprisun. That is the lunch Jocelyn insisted on making her. And don't ya just love the hats we made? Jocelyn has such a fun time!!! Thank you Terri for going with her, I'm so glad that you and Blake "adopted" our kids as your grandchildren, and I'm also thankful for your examples to them. :)

Jocelyn Learns To Ride!

I took Jocelyn out to try her new bike yesterday. She caught on really quick, and loves it!!! She really likes her helmet and gear too. We went to go drool and wish over a new car, and she wouldn't take off the gear. So, she went to the dealership with everything on. (no, we didn't get a new car, but it's always fun to drool, and wish right? Maybe in a few months when we get enough saved for a good down payment.) If you look close enough in the second picture you can see Corri out on her daily walk!!! GO CORRI!!

Jocelyn's Birthday Parties

Jocelyn had two birthday parties. One with the family and one with her friends. Here are a few pictures on her day!!
The mermaid cake. (it looked better in the picture I copied it from.) She loves Little Mermaid, so I thought this cake was appropriate.

The new bike. She was so excited!!!

The fairy princess dress up.

Our gangster fairy.

The left over cake with her friends. (I wasn't about to make two and this cake was huge!!!)

Best Friends

Best friends share everything, including the toilet!!
Lana and Jocelyn Sept. 08
Jocelyn had a few friends come over for a birthday party on Tuesday. She had a blast!! When Steph came to pick up Lana, I was in the living room talking to another mom and dad. Steph went to look for Lana and found her and Jocelyn sharing the toilet. They wanted to go potty together. :) What silly and cute little girls!! They call each other best friends, and play together so well.
The funny thing is, I remember sharing the toilet with my cousin Kim when I was younger. Like mother, like daughter. LOL. Stay tuned for the birthday pictures, I just need to get them downloaded.

Happy Birthday Jocelyn!!!

Jocelyn

Wow!! My little girl turned four today. I can't believe how she has grown!!! I need a new scanner, the pictures I scanned of her have lines going through them.
Jocelyn
You are such a sweetheart and such a joy in our lives. I can't believe that you are four already, time sure has flown by. You are such a good helper and you love your brothers and sister so much. You love to play with your polly's and little pet shops, and pretend with all your dolls. Not a day goes buy when I don't hear you in your room, talking with them. You love to learn new things, and you are trying to write your name, although right now looks like a bunch of circles. You just got your first bike for your birthday, and your so petite, you barely reach the pedals. :) You will always be our little sweet pea!!!
Love, Mom, and Dad

GO SHARKS!!!

Saturday was Kennedy and Kaden's first soccer game of the season. They had a blast and are loving it. I'm personally loving the fact that they are on the same team!!! YEA!!!!! Only one soccer practice and one game to go to. Here are some pictures. I can't wait to scrap some of them, so stay tuned. :)

Kennedy attacking the ball. Cris told her and Kaden before we left to be aggressive. It worked until she got to the goalie box, and she thought that she couldn't go inside it, so she tried at several attempts, along with Kaden to make a goal from 25 feet back. Looks like we need to teach then to go in all the way. By the way I love how my camera takes great action pictures!!! I just need a better zoom lens now.

Kaden going for it.

Cole with his owe he got right before leaving to watch the game. He fell out on our driveway, his head caught his fall, if you can't tell.

You might be wondering where Cris and Jocelyn were. My poor little girl is sick. :( Just picture her on the couch with the salad bowl that I will be bringing a salad in on enrichment night on Tuesday. ;) She is doing much better though. Let's hope it doesn't pass on, we need to party it up for her birthday in a few days, and I promised her a party with her friends.

Cole's Newborn Pages

So, you guys are probably sick of seeing the pages I create, but I'm having so much fun!! So, you will have to deal with the boring posts of my new hobby cause there is not much going on around here but school, and cleaning house. Although this Saturday is the kids first soccer game so you can look forward to some pics and stories of that. So with out further ado......
I started doing some of Cole's newborn pages today. Man, you forget how small they are. My baby has grown!!!!!

I got the stuff for these pages from shabby princess in a free kit called "moody blues"
