It's Always Fun For Everyone When Grandpa and Grandma Comes

Grandma and Grandpa Cziep came for a quick visit a few weeks ago. And by quick I mean one day of driving here one day to visit and one day to drive home. We wish they could have stayed longer. Even though their visit was quick, it doesn't mean that the kids didn't have fun!!!
They were so excited to have soccer games the day they were here so they could show Grandma and Grandpa their skills. I was excited to have my freezer full of meat and my food storage stocked up again. Nothing is better that fresh beef, and oh, how I miss the case lot sales from Idaho!!!
And of course no visit to Winslow would be complete without standing on the corner. They had to show Flat Stanley since he's never been.
Grandma loves to cook and she made these cute Halloween cupcakes with the kids, and they loved them!!! They sure didn't last long. I don't know if they had more fun putting the eye balls in the cupcakes or eating them off them!!
We can't wait for their next visit!!!

7 Months

Benson is 7 months old now and I can't believe how fast he's growing up. I really wish I could slow down time!!!! Here are his stats:
*Sits on his own
*Rolls both ways(although he doesn't roll from his tummy to his back very often)
*Scoots backwards(this makes him mad!!)
*Turns in circles while on his tummy
*Eats some foods on his own
*Bounces to the beat of music(this is so funny when he does it in the middle of a spin class)
*He's 26 inches long(taken at his 6 month checkup)
*He's 19 pounds(also taken at 6 month checkup)
*And of course he's got the most beautiful, big blue eyes!!!

From the Mouth of a Kindergartner........

Jocelyn started Kindergarten this year, and I love to hear what she had to say everyday when she gets home from school. I think I laugh all the way home everyday!!! Here are some things she has said.......

"Mom, Dillon is a evil, evil, little man"
"Why honey?"
"Because he kicks the teacher."

During the second week of school Jocelyn was pushed on the playground, and hit her head really bad. When I went to check on her at school she started to throw up several times, so we rushed her to the ER. They did a cat-scan, and x-rays to make
sure she was OK. While sitting with her she told me,
"Mom, I sure hope there is nothing wrong with my brain, cause that would be bad"
Then when all her scans came back fine she let out a big sigh of relief, and told me and the Dr.
"Oh, I'm so happy my brain is OK"

Later that night she then told me
"Mom, my outfit was wasted."
When I asked her why, she then said
"Because, my friends at school didn't see it, and neither did my
teacher. You got me all dressed and pretty for nothing."
She's such a girlie girl for sure!!!!! If she could she's wear a dress everyday!!
She was so excited to do the Bulldog cheer camp this year, and LOVED it!! It was so much fun to take all the kids to the football game.(until Benson puked all over the bleachers, but that's a different story)
Jocelyn turned 6 last month, and this is the only picture I got of her on her birthday. She loved that she got a Cinderella cake, and was able to go swimming at the Aqua-plex with her cousins.
Jocelyn,
We love you very much and are so happy to have your fun, and cheerful spirit in our home. You are such a joy to be around. We can't wait to see you grow into a beautiful young woman!!
We love you,
Mom, and Dad
