Fiji Day 2

Day 2 in Fiji started off with a trip to the market in Somo Somo, and then a walk to find the beach and the closer market near the home. The scenery was beautiful!

The Matei weather station. It was a nice calm day.
There weren't big sandy beaches, just a few small secluded ones here and there. I loved that they weren't crowded, it was nice to walk along them without being interrupted. I loved having my feet in the sand, Cris on the other hand didn't care to walk barefoot. All the coral, and shells that washed up to shore hurt his poor baby feet. :) We found a rope swing along one of the beaches, and played on it for a while. We thought our kids would love to try it one day!

Here are just a few pictures of scenery from the ride to and from the market.
The church in Somo Somo. There are 3 meeting houses on the island, with 3 small branches. This is the biggest of the churches. We attended the one closer to the house, a picture of that one will come later.
This was the super market we went to a few times. We found almost anything we could here at home, just a little different. I forgot to take picture of the out door market, where we bought all our fresh fruit(which wasn't much since we got a lot of fruit from the trees at the house) and veggies. We couldn't believe how cheap the fresh food was compared to home.
