Big Lake Again!!!!

After Kaden got baptized we went up to Big Lake after church on Sunday. The 3 hour drive is well worth it!!!!!

We went,

Along with Crystal and Lance and Cris' mom and dad.

We fished a lot!! And caught our limit one day.

All the kids got a ride on the boat, and didn't want to get off.

We saw lots of wildlife. Crystal and I saw about 3 deer one morning while on a run. This is one that we saw while going to the little store down by the lake. We also saw a Elk. But I didn't get a very good picture of her.

Kennedy and Sari hung out a lot. You wouldn't see one without the other.

Staisha got very, very, very dirty!!!!!!!!!!

Cole learned to pee on the rocks. Every time he would tell me, "Mom, I'm peeing on a BIG rock!!!" 

He also had is fair share of time outs on the "time out rock"

Cole and Staisha loved playing hide and seek with Grandma Moss. They were very good finders. Hmmm, I wonder why?????

We all loved the s'mores we ate, along with all the

 yummy food, especially the peach cobbler Lance and Crystal made.

We had such a fine time, and can't wait for the next camping trip. 

Kaden's Baptism

Kaden chose to be baptized June 20th. He was so excited!! Cris' parents, along with my parents, and Steven, Maria, and Andrew came down.  Kennedy gave a talk on baptism, and I talked on the Gift of the Holy Ghost. After wards we had a yummy BBQ.

Kaden, we are so happy that you chose to be baptized, and hope that you remember the covenants that you made that day. We love you, and are very proud of you!!!

Kaden's 8!!!!

Kaden turned 8 today!!! I can't believe that he is old enough to get baptized. He can't wait for Saturday! I went out and took some pictures of him for his baptism announcements. Here are a few.

Kennedy turns 9 today. I can't believe that we have a 9 year old. She's always full of energy and spunk. Here are some pictures I took of her for her birthday. Here are a few of my favorites.

Kennedy we love you so much!!! Thanks for all your help and for being such a good example to your brothers and sister. You are growing up to be such a beautiful young lady!!! We really enjoy having you as a daughter.

Life

Life has been in full swing in the Moss household, and has gotten the better of me. We have been busy as a hive of bees. I can't wait for it to slow down a bit, and I can just relax. 

It's been one of those weeks. My dryer broke, and would have cost us a couple hundred of dollars to fix it. So we decided to just buy a new one along with a new washer. I really don't enjoy unexpected purchases, but I'm really enjoying the fact that it's a front loader, and I'm loving it!!!! 

We have decided that we probably most likely will not be heading up to Idaho for vacation. Cris is on a lower paid job right now, and money is a bit tight. We will be staying close to home, and go camping. Which will still be fun. We will miss visiting with our family and friends though.

Summer is in full swing with the end of the kids softball and baseball, and the start of swim lessons, and too many friends. Is it just me or is it when you give the kids a little freedom, they take  more, and become monsters??? The fighting starts at sunrise and ends at bedtime. But I wouldn't trade it for anything, even if it puts me in the insane asylum. 

Cris and I are playing on a co-ed softball team again this year, and we are loving it. Kennedy is doing summer school this year for her reading. I'm hoping that it will help her out a lot. She and Kaden both did well in school this year, and can't wait for the new year to start in August. Kaden got all A's and one B on his report card. Kennedy got a few A's, a couple B's, and a C in reading.(hence summer school) Jocelyn and Cole are enjoying the fact that Kennedy and Kaden are home during the day to entertain them. 

That's about all that is going on right now, and I'm hoping to do better at keeping our blog updated better. And just because a post isn't a post with out pictures, here are a few.

Big Lake

Memorial Day Weekend at Big Lake

We had such a fun weekend up at Big Lake!! Who would have thought that something so green and full of trees existed in Arizona. We thought we were back in Idaho. We left Saturday morning for the 2 1/2 hour drive. We stayed at a paid campground mainly because I wanted a flushing toilet. That's one thing our tent trailer doesn't have, and having one just makes camping so much better. We unpacked and then went strait to the lake to fish. As usual Kaden caught the first one!! (and only one for the day) We then went back to camp for dinner, s'mores and games. It rained on and off all night long, and I was woken up at 5 A.M. by a stupid Crow, and couldn't fall back asleep. We then had breakfast and headed out to try fishing again. We were out at the lake for about 30 minutes when it started pouring and hailing on us. So we loaded up and when back to the trailer. Cris then went back out with Kaden and Kennedy. Meanwhile I stayed in the trailer with Cole and Jocelyn. Jocelyn said she wasn't feeling good and soon started throwing up. The poor girl was so sad that she could eat the fish and that Kaden had caught earlier that morning. We took a drive into Lakeside to get away from the rain, and while there Rich and Allison found us!! We drove over to their cabin and gave Jocelyn a bath and I showered. (which was wonderful!! Thank you Al!) 

Monday morning we fished again and of course Kaden caught the first one and then Kennedy caught one. It rained on us some more so we packed up and headed home and had a BBQ with Crystal and Lance. All in all it was a great weekend although it rained on us alot. It was great to get away with just our family and enjoy one another.
