December 2011

We had a busy and fun December. Between the kids extra activities and all the other things we did it flew right past us!
We went to the Santa Train that we go to every year with the kids. Kennedy and Kaden played along well, and didn't complain about having to get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Clause. Soon they will no longer amuse us or the younger kids.
We got a little snow this year, so I built a snow man with the kids. To bad he melted within a few hours. But they had fun anyway.
Winkle visited us again this year and got the kids matching jammies.
Christmas Eve. The kids were spoiled like they always are. I don't think a single present under the tree was for either Cris or I.(We don't normally get each other anything but stocking stuffers. We like to spend the extra money on the kids instead)
Christmas morning after church the kids had to pose for a picture. Benny was way to ready for a nap. I loved having Christmas on Sunday this past year. We loved being able to go to church and feel the spirit and remind ourselves what Christmas is all about.

Winkle's Here!!!

Winkle once again appeared on the first of December. The kids were so excited to see him again. He brought them their Christmas jammies, and every once and a while he brings them other small toys or goodies. So far this year he has hidden in the kids rooms, on the curtain rod, in the computer room, on top of Cris guitars, under the Christmas tree, and many other places. Who knows where he will hide next. The kids better stay good or he will go back to the North Pole, and tell Santa they have been bad.

Well, not really but Winkle is!!! He made his debut on Monday, and I'm just getting to post the pictures. It's been a very busy week!!! (If you want to know all about Winkle check out this post from last year. http://crisandleannmossfamily.blogspot.com/search?q=Winkle ) So I jsut did a search for my last years post and linked it. This post will pop up, but just scroll down a bit and you'll see last years. :)

Here are the kids with Winkle and there new PJ's. I can't wait for them to wear them to the Polar Express on Monday!!!

On another note my fireplace is finally finished. I love it!!!!! The next step is a harth, which Tim said I could pay him in carmels instead of money. I might just have to take him up on that!!! Thanks for helping Cris, Tim, with out you it wouldn't have gotten done. Cris has no clue how to do this knid of stuff.

Winkle

Winkle has arrived from the North Pole!! The kids were so excited to see him again this year. They kept asking if and when he was going to appear. Winkle is our magical Elf who comes every year around December 1st. He comes every day and hides somewhere new. Then at night he goes back to the North Pole to report to Santa if the kids have been bad or good. He will also bring small gifts every once and a while. They arn't suppose to touch him either, or he will go away. This helps keep the kids be good thoughout the holidays. They have so much fun looking around the house for him every morning. The first day he comes he brings the kids their Christmas jammies. And a small note that goes like this,
Hello Moss Family,
My name is Winkle
And I'm here to say
Santa sent me
So be good today!
(this is the poem Cris sister made up Then I added this part)
Here are some jammies
Santa sent with me
So you can be warn
Sitting by the Christmas tree.

The past couple of years we haven't gone with the holiday theme, instead they just get a nice pair of fun jammies. This year Kennedy got Bobbly Jack, Kaden got Spiderman, Jocelyn got Princess, and Cole got ones with a Dinosaur. Cris' sister has done this with their kids for many years now and that is where I got the idea.
